Terms & Conditions — Hand 2 Hand

Welcome to Hand 2 Hand ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Hand 2 Hand mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who Can Use the App

The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. By using the Service, you represent that you are 13 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration & Login

• Users may register via email (OTP) or Google login.
• Name is mandatory and will be visible with product listings. Other fields are optional.
• Keep account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Accounts violating Terms or showing suspicious activity may be suspended or terminated.

3. Using the Service

The app enables users to list, discover, and contact sellers for second-hand products. Rules for using the app:

• Do not post illegal or prohibited items.
• Do not post abusive, hateful, pornographic, or harassing content.
• Provide honest item descriptions; do not misrepresent price, condition, or ownership.
• Respect other users' privacy — optional phone numbers may be shared with buyers.

4. Transactions, Payments & Delivery

Hand 2 Hand is a connecting platform. All transactions, payments, and product delivery are conducted between users. We do not mediate payments or deliveries. Users transact at their own risk.

5. User Content & In-App Features

• You retain ownership of content (photos, descriptions) but grant Hand 2 Hand a license to display it in the app.
• We may remove content violating Terms.
• In-app chat allows communication between buyers and sellers, including image sharing.
• Images are uploaded via ImgBB, and product locations are shown using OSMdroid.

6. Prohibited Activities

• Illegal activities or promoting illegal content.
• Impersonating others or providing false information.
• Hacking, reverse engineering, or disrupting the app.
• Collecting users' information without consent.

7. Ads & Third-Party Services

• Location may be shared with advertising partners for geo-targeted ads.
• We use Google AdMob for ads.
• Icons used in the app: SVGRepo, Icon8, Flaticon. Banners designed with Canva.

8. Disputes Between Users

Disputes arising from transactions are the responsibility of the users. Hand 2 Hand is not liable for product quality or user behavior.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hand 2 Hand is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Direct damages are limited to the amount (if any) paid to Hand 2 Hand in the last 12 months.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Hand 2 Hand from claims or losses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations or other legitimate reasons, with or without notice.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Updated Terms will be posted in the app with the "Effective date".

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Indian courts unless local law requires otherwise.
